Amp up our Practice
Focus: Adductors, Arm balances, Groin, Hip-opening, Strength, Twists, Yoga Conditioning
In this class, we learn that when we amp up our practice and help lead it to a greater articulation of the body. We explore variations of Garudasana (Eagle pose), twists and standing postures to create space in the body. These asanas bring us to arm balances like Bakasana (Crow Pose) and Bhujapidasana (Shoulder-Pressing Pose) which require strength but have nothing to do with the size of your muscles. Class concludes with some twists and Upavistha Konasana (Seated Wide-legged Pose) to release the groin and adductors. These postures led us to Savasana and its stress-releasing effects; enjoy the practice and stay for the Savasana.
